June Hols Week #4

Ok i realise this is quite ironic, considering the June holidays only have 4 weeks and yet i'm recapping the 4th before its even over.. I guess i considering being liberated from the shackles of GP the true start of the holidays :)

13th to 20th June

Tuesday: Went gymming with Ben and Nick, then the 3 of us did a repeat of 'Heffalump', this time with Disney/Pixar 'Cars'. The cinema was chock full of ADD'ed kiddies, squealing and squeaming at anything in sight. Thankfully the movie was good, with Mater stealing the show. Cars rock, both literally/metaphorically/figuratively/movie-ly, and it has an awesome soundtrack. After this was the atypical family dinner whereby no family turned up X.x

Wednesday: [lament] There was supposed to be a CIP event at Pulau Ubin for Gracehaven, whereby they were pulling off an 'Amazing Race' for the children. Unfortunately, RJC is full of disgustingly busy (read: muggery) and selfish people who cannot commit. I asked the class 2 times before the holidays, sent out countless e-mails/smses/calls and in the end, only Congren could make it. Since that were the case i just didn't bother as well, and embraced the inner *shudder* Rafflesian in me. Maybe it was my fault for not pestering enough, or not considering that our CTs would be in 1.5 weeks, or that no one was genuinely interested.. [/lament] In the end i simply stayed home, did some work and ran with Nubi to Serangoon Town Center to get him a leash. WAH running really reduxes ones buttses.

Thursday: Met CW at Orchard Library for a mug-session once again, however to NO avail and us just sitting and talking about DotA heroes for 2 hours.. There was one point where we were trying to name all 101 heroes. Nick and I then went for Heavy Hands, a prelude to the untimely demise of my lungs later on..

Friday: *SICK* Woke up with a dreadful cough that prompted the cancellation of badminton with Ernest. Family dinner was postponed to tonight at XKK's, where the superb vegetarian curry and whole oven-baked chicken was too delectable to resist. An all-nighter at the airport with Shan and CW was also cancelled because of my cough, Shan's desire for soccer and CW's inability to get parental consent (weak.)

Saturday: *SICK* SLEPT FROM 1AM TO 5PM. Sporadically waking up for lunch (Aunt May and another came over). Was feeling feverish and was brought to Mt A for a 2-hour long wait and a 2kg bag of medication (including Tussils 5 Cough Relief that's packaged suspiciously like Strepsils). Went home in all my misery and coughcoughcoughed all the way. Missed TanahMerah with Daryl cause of this x.X

Sunday: *SICK* Missed church/churchlunch/cell/soccer/gym/stoning at Nick's. You know the reason. Stupid 4am DotA nights, stupid paint fumes around the house, stupid running and running and gymming, stupid multitasking the holidays away.

Monday: *SEMI-SICK* Feeling sufficiently recovered, I made my way down to Paragon with CW to watch some old friends Viknesh/Hazri/Krishmen busk for a bone marrow charity. WAH THEY WERE DAMN GOOD, singing songs such as "Californication" and other rock melodramadies superbly. After that, the whole lot of us went to lunch at Cine, followed by Silent Hill, to which i am completely silent and speechless in its reviews. HMV after that and i scouted DIXIECHICKS and NELLYFURTADO's new releases, which i desperately yearn for, and finally a talk-cock session in Starbucks with Vik/CW. Sometimes its just so good to reminisce.

Tuesday: SLAKOTH! I promised Ben i'll be gymming tomorrow.. Here's hoping for that x.X. Also, i bet $10 on Sweden beating England tonight o.O And HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIE!
